Evanescence

Sounded as \ev-uh-NES-ens\ and means a gradual disappearance or the state of becoming imperceptible. It is from the Latin word evanescere meaning "to vanish," from e- meaning "from, out of" + vanescere meaning "to disappear," from vanus meaning "empty."

Dissipation, ceasing to exist are just a few other words that can be associated with evanescence. Add it with the American rock band Evanescence founded in Arkansas in 1995 by its singer/pianist and guitarist. I just hope this band will not gradually disappear just like any other music bands.
