Furrow

Read as \FUR-oh, FUHR-oh\ and is referred to....
--a groove in the bark of a tree, making the trunk somewhat "wrinkled"
----a deep wrinkle in the skin of the face/forehead
------a trench cut in the soil, as when plowed in order to plant a crop

Every household in the barrio has to plow 15 furrows of 6 to 10 feet long each for planting different kinds of vegetables. This is the new project of the local government to combat price increase of basic commodities.
